Who is GRC?

Global Resource Connections, Inc. (GRC) is an organization who utilizes a collaboration platform that provides environments for academic, for-profit, and non-profit entities to work together to eliminate poverty and improve health conditions while being true to GRC’s vision, mission, and core values and offering value for all participants engaged.

Since 2013, GRC’s endgame has been and continues to be very simple. GRC works to work ourselves out of a job/project but not out of a relationship.

Real Life Example.........

We have found that when value proposition solutions are utilized for ALL parties, then each of these entities meet their measurable metrics such as for the following story example:

Example - Agricultural Demonstration Farm Training Model - Local community request an agricutural training farm be developed that would require experiential learning students to work with local for-profit businesses for mentoring during the needs assessment, modeling and delivery of the model while working with local stakeholders requesting the help. Once the prototyping modeling is completed, then the student teams travel to the site location to present prototype model to the stakeholders and then work with the stakeholders in implementing the model on site.

The value to each particip[ant is as follows:

  1. Profitability for a for-profit company by gaining new access to another geographical location for new market growth;

  2. Class attendance goes up due to project interest, faculty publications, and study abroad opportunity;

  3. Local recipients are being served basic needs by non-profit representatives and service learning experiences.

Our collaboration template could include environment examples such as:

  1. Working within an environment that was a classroom with For-Profit Representatives providing Mentorship to the Students;

  2. Working in a For-Profit’s Lab developing a new Product with Faculty and Students;

  3. Working on a development project in another country where students, faculty, a for-profit mentor, and a local non-profit agent could all be providing the final deliverable solution and be working with the recipient of the solution as well.
